Background:
On 19 February 2007, Professor John Ruggie, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Business & Human Rights, spoke to a select audience at the offices of Clifford Chance. The talk, which was followed by a question-and-answer session, was organised jointly by Clifford Chance and UNA-UK in conjunction with the Confederation of British Industry. Irene Khan, Secretary General of Amnesty International, and Richard Lambert, Director-General of the CBI, acted as respondents to Professor Ruggie. Read the text of Professor Ruggie's presentation.
