UNA-UK's Chairman, Sir Jeremy Greenstock, says 'sit with dictators but sup with a long spoon' in today's Financial Times. Taking the UK's (and other countries') dealings with Libya as a starting point, Sir Jeremy cautions that while we should remain hard-headed about our push for competitiveness, we must be clear about our limits and reframe our policy with a greater focus on the long-term consequences of equivocal relationships.
