Former UN Deputy Secretary-General to deliver keynote speech at UNA-UK Annual Conference 2008
Mark Malloch Brown, former Deputy Secretary-General of the UN under Kofi Annan, will be the keynote speaker at UNA-UK's Annual Conference 2008 in Exeter.
Lord Malloch-Brown became the first Briton to serve as UN Deputy Secretary-General when he was appointed in April 2006. He was formerly head of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and Kofi Annan's Chef de Cabinet. In June 2007 Prime Minister Gordon Brown named Mark Malloch
Brown as Foreign Officer Minister for Africa, Asia
and the United Nations.
Lord Malloch-Brown will address UNA-UK Annual Conference on Friday, 28 March. The Conference runs to Sunday, 30 March and is being held at Exeter University.
