UNA-UK AND PARLIAMENT

A strong, credible and effective United Nations is in the UK's national interest. Helping poor people break free from poverty, extending human rights, reversing environmental degradation, getting warring groups to put down their weapons - achieving these aims would be global successes as well as British ones. UNA-UK believes that engagement with parliamentarians is crucial to ensure that British foreign policy supports the UN's pursuit of these objectives.

UNA-UK aims to give parliamentarians opportunities to learn about the UN and its work - to see for themselves how the UN is indispensable to British security and prosperity. We also encourage dialogue between voters and their MPs on UN issues.
