The Iraq Commission is an independent, cross-party panel of UK experts set up by Channel 4 in partnership with the Foreign Policy Centre to provide recommendations on Britain's future role in Iraq. It was established to serve as the British equivalent of the US Iraq Study Group.

The Commission was jointly Chaired by Lord Ashdown of Norton-sub-Hamdon, Baroness Jay of Paddington and Lord King of Bridgwater and included nine expert Commissioners – one of which was UNA-UK’s Chair Lord Hannay, who participated in a purely personal capacity. Written submissions were also invited from relevant interested parties.

The Commission held nine hearings during June, taking evidence from around 50 witnesses with a broad range of expertise and an in-depth understanding of the region’s political, military, diplomatic and humanitarian issues.
