UN peacekeeping missions have made a vital difference to the lives of millions of people. The UN has sent 63 peacekeeping and observer missions to conflict areas over the past six decades. At present, there are 17 peacekeeping operations around the world with over 110,000 men and women from 118 countries.

UNA-UK is pushing for strong government support – in terms of financing, equipment and troops – for these missions.
