Role: Carol is Deputy Director (Head of Finance & Governance) of the United Nations Association of the UK.
Biography: Carol has worked in the private, public and voluntary sector in finance and other managerial roles.
Recently she has worked as a management consultant for the Human Tissue Authority and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority as well as two charities.
From 2000 to 2005 she was Director of Resources for the South East England Regional Assembly and established its initial financial and governance structures.
From 1993 to 2000 she worked for the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS) both in Wales as Director of all activities in the principality and later at WRVS’s head office as Director of Volunteering, a role that had responsibility for best practice in volunteer management and development throughout the organisation. Whilst in this role Carol served on many government committees that promoted best practice in volunteering throughout the UK. Carol moved to Wales following several years as Finance Director of the Prince’s Trust. Prior to that she held a variety of finance based roles in industry in this country and Canada.
Carol has a degree in Politics gained recently through the Open University and has been a volunteer in a number of local organisations. |
