Shashi Tharoor, UN Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information 2001-2007

Background:
On 20 April 2006, UNA-UK hosted a talk by Shashi Tharoor on 'The Future of the UN' at the Lewis Media Centre in Millbank Tower, London. An assembled audience of diplomats, journalists and UNA-UK YPN members heard the then Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information outline his vision for UN reform.
