UNYSA: the youth wing of UNA-UK

The UN Youth & Students Association (UNYSA) is the youth wing of UNA-UK. UNYSA brings together young people (university, college and school students) from across the UK who are passionate about the need for a strong, credible and effective United Nations. Our aim is to build a better understanding of the UN and its work, and to equip young people to play a prominent role in international affairs.

UN careers workshop at UN Forum - 12 June 2010

An UNRIC led workshop on careers at the United Nations took place as part of UN Forum - UNA-UK's free one-day civil society event entitled 'An effective UN in a more secure and just world'.

The workshop, gave useful tips on how to apply for jobs at the UN and what it is like to work there.

UNYSA annual conference:
Fighting Poverty: helping the UN to meet the MDGs

UNA-UK's youth wing, UNYSA, debated poverty, hunger and international development at its 2010 Annual Conference, which took place in Oxford on 27 March.

Students and young professionals heard from award-winning author and economist Professor Paul Collier, the World Food Programme's Caroline Hurford and Sophie Tholstrup and Ying Staton of the UK Department for International Development.
