| Exciting opportunity to contribute to FCO event on nuclear policy issues |
 |
UNA-UK is offering UNYSA members who have a background or interest in nuclear policy issues the chance to participate in a panel workshop at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on Tuesday, 16 March 2010.
Entitled 'Stopping the Spread: can we do it? Addressing the Nuclear Challenge in the 21st Century', this short-notice FCO initiative seeks to canvass the views of UNA-UK's youth and student members ahead of the critical Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference in May 2010. |
This is a fantastic opportunity to build on UNYSA's Stop the Spread campaign and discuss the key nuclear challenges of the modern era with a high-level panel consisting of host Ivan Lewis MP, the FCO's Minister of State responsible for Asia, the Middle East and international security; UNA-UK Chair Lord Hannay of Chiswick; and Paul Ingram, Executive Director of BASIC.
Attendance is strictly limited and by invitation only. If you would like to be part of this exciting initiative, please visit http://www.una.org.uk/youth/fcoevent/ and complete the application form by the end of the day on Sunday 14 March 2010.
Successful applicants will be notified and provided with further information by the FCO on Monday, 15 March.
